Book Week Character Parade
The theme for the week is “Read Across the Universe”. We kicked this off with a Book Character Parade hosted by the White Rabbit from ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Many children, families and Staff went to a great deal of trouble with costuming and innovative ideas.
The White Rabbit moved too quickly for a decent photo.
Not sure who was Athos, Porthos, Aramis or D’Artagnan – or which one was missing, but Victoria, Maddy and Erin made a wonderful set of Three Musketeers. The moustaches stayed on for the rest of the day.
Straw, sticks or bricks? Sabrina, Eilidh and Kate got together as the Three Little Pigs.
Year 6 Teacher, Myron Mikulin, made a strapping Peter Pan and Teacher Aide, Rama Yacoub, looked magical as Hermoine Granger from Harry Potter.
Speaking of Harry Potter …. here’s two of him! Oliver and Finn.
Billy and Phoenix looked suitably metallic and shiny as a couple of Iron Men, whilst Adam had gone to a lot of trouble to be the cutest Mad Hatter you’re ever likely to meet.
The White Rabbit took the time to inspect a pair of trousers to the enjoyment of Laura, Emina, Annie and Jessica who were jointly presenting the book “The Sisterhood of the Travelling Trousers”.
Pippi Longstocking had plaits that could knock your eye out if she turned sideways.
Our Preps, Ones and Twos did their own versions of the ‘Kinder Hat’.
The Mad Hatter (Adam) found Alice (Antosia). Literacy and Creative activities were also conducted in multi-age groupings during Book Week.
